OSF HealthCare is seeking a Respiratory Care leader in Peoria, IL to plan, schedule, and oversee twenty-four hour respiratory care services. You will ensure staffing, regulatory compliance, and quality care while coordinating education and new employee orientation. A Bachelor’s degree and IL licensure with NBRC and BLS are required; advanced credentials preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an approved institution.
  • License/Certifications: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the State of Illinois.
  • License/Certifications: Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapy credential if credentialed after July 2002.
  • License/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
  • Other Licenses/Certifications: Neonatal Pediatric Specialty credential from the NBRC required for Saint Francis Medical Center
  • Experience: Professional level of knowledge of practice and theory.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Healthcare, Business or related field
  • License/Certifications: Adult Critical Care Specialty credential, Registered Pulmonary Function Technician credential and Asthma Educator- Certified credentials.
  • License/Certifications: Neonatal Pediatric Specialty credential from the NBRC preferred for all other locations.
  • Other skills/knowledge: Analytical skills necessary to organize and direct the work of others, develop, implement and administer policies, procedures, budgets and respiratory therapy practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate staff coverage for a fluctuating patient census/workload throughout the department.
  • Ensure the provision of high quality services and care in accordance with Medical Center and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development of, implementing and administering new patient care services to achieve fiscal year business plans.

Expected pay for this position is $42.64 - $56.50/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.



Overview


POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, directing and evaluating the twenty-four hour operation of the activities of personnel engaged in providing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care throughout the Medical Center.
