Job description

The Resale Store Manager:

  • Assist Foundation Management in developing and implementing an annual business plan and budget for the Resale Stores.
  • Coordinate procurement of merchandise, including donations and gifts.
  • Manage pick-up services through volunteer management.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Resale Store.
  • Analyze, identify, and respond to volunteer needs.
  • Recruit volunteers for the Resale Store based on various volunteer job descriptions.
  • Coordinate volunteer training and support.
  • Plan, promote, and evaluate sales promotions, analyze trends, resolve problems, conduct store inspections, optimize volunteer utilization, ensure profitability, and oversee overall store operations.
  • Adhere to driver safety guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree from a two-year college or an equivalent combination of experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in retail management and marketing, preferably in the thrift industry, consignment, or used merchandise sales.
  • Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) or Fit for Duty examination (as necessary), with a “Capable” result required.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Experience with Raisers Edge database is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with supervisors, volunteers, and the community.
  • Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance are required.
