Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manager of Quality Engineering for our Foley, Alabama MRO site. You will report to the General Manager and lead the QA/QE department, ensuring the site adheres to enterprise quality procedures and drives continuous improvement across operations.

The role requires a university degree with extensive experience in aerospace quality. You will coordinate audits, manage non-conformances, and develop corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree with 5+ years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace structures and quality in aerospace environment.

Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Manager, Quality Engineering for the MRO site in Foley facility. You will be reporting directly to the General Manager in this role that carries operational and strategic responsibility while playing a key role in driving the growth and success of the organization.

What You Will Do
  • Supervision duties for QA/QE department employees including assigning duties, providing performance feedback and time tracking
  • Responsible for all aspects of QMS
  • Provide strategic guidance for improving Quality Assurance throughout facility
  • Coordinate all levels of quality audit activity to ensure compliance to site and enterprise quality procedures and policies
  • Track and report all non-conformance and countermeasure activity
  • Provide assistance to ensure appropriate root causes and countermeasures are identified
  • Lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions
  • Provide technical guidance to support and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team
  • Ensure compliance to site and enterprise procedures and policies
  • Serve as a liaison to certification bodies and customer representatives for the quality discipline
  • Maintain a list of approved vendors
  • Develop, execute and track vendor audit schedule
  • Recommend changes to vendor list based on audits results
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience Knowledge of aerospace structures Strong background in quality within an aerospace environment

  • Experience working in an aerospace MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) environment
  • Experience working in engineering within an aerospace environment
  • Experience with nacelle or composite structures and related repair processes
  • Experience interacting with customers

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
