Job Summary

Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control programs to ensure continuous production of products that meet established standards, either personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine current standards and establish quality and reliability expectations.
• Formulates and maintains quality control objectives.
• Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Directs inspection and testing activities to ensure ongoing control over materials, facilities, and products.
• Organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
• Ensures compliance with safety rules and wears proper safety equipment on plant grounds.
• Investigates and resolves customer complaints regarding quality to maintain good customer relations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

4-10 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
• Potentially hot, cold, dusty environments.

Physical Requirements

• Walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
• Occasional exertion of up to 20 pounds of force.
• Sitting most of the time, with walking or standing for brief periods.
• Regularly talking and hearing to communicate effectively.
