Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a hybrid Purchasing Manager to join our Procurement Team. The role focuses on regional category strategy execution, supplier onboarding, and driving cost/margin improvements while coordinating with global affiliates.

You will analyze current spending, build category plans, and communicate plans to gain internal buy-in. The position requires automotive experience and strong Excel skills within a North American team context.

Qualifications

• At least a Bachelors Degree.
• At least 5-7 years of experience.
• Automotive experience.
• Strong influencing and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities.
• Experience working with a global and diverse team in North America.
• Strong Excel background with experience in ERP systems such as JDE LX.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Manager will support execution of category strategy within their region.
• Be a critical thinker that can analyze the current situation, develop a plan to improve, and execute the plan while be able to communicate the plan to obtain internal adoption.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers that are in alignment with the category strategy
• Drive world class cost and margin enhancement (TCO Improvement) to deliver 5% YOY productivity
• Lead and manage supplier relationships as the local representative for global affiliates
• Support the Lead Category Manager (LCM) on project management and executing category and regional strategies
• Experience building category cost models/clean sheets, and monitoring raw material, FX, and market trends

The Job:

As a Purchasing Manager, you'll be part of our Procurement Team for STANLEY Engineered Fastening team working as a hybrid employee. You'll get to:

The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00

This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
