Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Manager of Public Safety to plan, direct, and supervise daily security operations across facilities in Texas. You will conduct security assessments, drills, and in-services while ensuring regulatory compliance and a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 4 years in security leadership, with TX driver’s license upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• 4 years of experience.
• TXDL driver’s license required; if moving from out of state must obtain TX DL within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and head subordinates in enforcing laws, ordinances, policies and procedures that promote public safety.
• Develops, implements, and monitors various programs to promote the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at managed facility(s).
• Reviews and participates in the development of policies and Standard Operating Guidelines.
• Assesses personnel and asset needs necessary for Security operations.
• Conducts operational inquiries into citizen complaints about Security Officers; handles sensitive investigations.
• Safeguards confidential information from investigations or Law Enforcement authorities.
• Reviews use of pressure incidents and personnel training mandates to ensure legal compliance.
• Interacts with community to address security and crime concerns, safety training and crime prevention.
• Ensure customer service requests are responded to promptly.
• Controls and regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including parking for visitors, employees, patients, and staff.
• Develops, facilitates, and manages department budget.

Job Summary
