Job summary

DESCRIPTION

The Manager, Public Policy will develop and execute advocacy strategies and policy initiatives in support of Amazon’s policy priorities related to trade and customs. The Manager will work closely with other public policy teams, Legal, PR, and the relevant business units to ensure alignment with business priorities and goals. The Manager will monitor and report relevant legislative and regulatory activity related to trade and customs, develop positioning and mitigation/engagement strategies, and coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, and key initiatives in concert with business objectives. The Manager will be responsible for leading engagements with trade associations, think tanks, advocacy groups, and other relevant external stakeholders on key trade and customs policy issues. As appropriate, the Manager will be responsible for facilitating meetings between executives and key stakeholders. The Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Public Policy. The position will be based in Arlington, VA, USA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8 years of relevant public policy experience, including direct involvement in legislative processes and government relations.
• An ability and desire to travel is required.
