The Manager, Provider Talent Acquisition is responsible for the coordination of talent acquisition and full life cycle recruitment for network-wide provider recruitment activities within St. Luke's University Health Network. The Manager, Provider Talent Acquisition will provide supervision and guidance to provider recruitment staff while ensuring there is a diverse, talent pipeline in place for current and future provider openings. He or she will collaborate with all levels of the organization, network and community and serve as a resource for candidates, employees, managers, and senior leaders. Additionally, as assigned, this individual will actively participate in the sourcing and recruitment of Advanced Practitioners, Physicians and/or locum tenens. The Manager, Provider Talent Acquisition is responsible for creating and implementing an effective talent acquisition strategy, while maintaining budgetary compliance and participating in the negotiations of provider contracts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervises and actively participates in the day-to-day recruitment of provider openings throughout the network and staff dedicated to these functions.
  • Partners closely with operational leadership to proactively understand business initiatives related to provider talent acquisition in support of developing strategies to address workforce planning initiatives and address gaps.
  • Implements identified strategies, including external advertising campaigns, internet sourcing and management of external relationships (e.g. outsourced recruiting firms, search firms, vendors etc.). Negotiates and manages contracts with external recruitment firms and acts as chief liaison with, and contract administrator for, relationships with external recruitment companies.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and prepares reporting from Workday to reflect talent acquisition data (vacancy, time to fill, external/internal hires, etc.) related to provider recruitment activities in partnership with the Director, Provider Services & Recruitment. Will monitor & ensure team members meet performance expectations aligned with set talent acquisition metrics.
  • Partners with Marketing and department sourcing specialists to ensure talent acquisition strategies are customized & digitally attractive for provider recruitment, including ongoing enhancements to careers sites for both Advanced Practitioners and Physicians.
  • Responsible for sourcing and recruitment of Advanced Practitioners, Physicians and/or locum tenens, as assigned. Develops effective strategies in promoting SLPG and SLUHN opportunities for the recruitment of experienced providers and those in school/residency/fellowship programs. Coordinates and develops plans for the growth, retention and replacement of providers/succession planning in conjunction with respective specialty leadership, as necessary.
  • Develops and implements sourcing methods, in conjunction with department sourcing personnel, to generate candidate pipelines for all specialties. This includes ad writing, national/local internet advertising, various website postings, database searches, direct mailing campaigns, journal advertising, residency program outreach, etc.
  • Supports the coordination of all aspects of the recruiting process by engaging candidates and discussing opportunities; presenting candidates to the appropriate internal stakeholders for consideration; coordinating date of site visits in conjunction with Provider Talent Acquisition Coordinator(s), preparation of candidate itineraries and active participation in site visits, as necessary.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders, local businesses/vendors and community partners to strategically plan candidate visits and expose them to areas of interest (e.g., schools, community, etc.). Responsible to develop new relationships in this space while strengthening current ones.
  • Enhances the SLUHN brand by attending national and local medical conferences, resident events, job fairs, networking with local and national colleagues.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to eight hours per day, 3 hours at a time. Standing and walking as necessary. Fingering and handling frequently, twisting and turning of hands occasionally. Pushing and pulling. Occasionally stoops, bends, squat, kneel and reach above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general and near vision.
