SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for the facilitation and implementation of specific projects, programs and activities related to their area(s) of responsibility within AFMC. Answers directly to Director or Senior Vice President, Outreach Services and is accountable for ensuring services are implemented according to strategic directives, contract deliverables, personnel capacity, and fiduciary limits. Ensures that AFMC’s mission, vision and values are upheld by personal example and leadership. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Monitors the job performance of supervisors and staff’s work product(s) meet performance goals within designated timelines and financial limits.
  • Monitors the activities from the assessment, planning, development, and implementation of specific projects, and assigns tasks to personnel to fulfill contractual or organizational obligations.
  • Collaborates with other managers to meet corporate requirements and contractual deliverables.
  • Engage in active problem-solving of activities, events and occurrences that take projects off course and report to director or Senior Vice President, Outreach Services.
  • Routinely watch for new business opportunities or potential for business expansion and communicate with Director or Senior Vice President, Outreach Services regarding these opportunities.
  • Implement long term and short-term plans for their area of responsibility for operations and/or programs such as sustainability, disaster recovery, staffing and inventory.
  • Facilitate activities that ensure compliance with organizational policies and utilize organizational resources to conduct work according to AFMC standards.
  • Recognize and reward high performers, provide training to staff as needs, and notify Director or Senior Vice President, Outreach Services to problems as they emerge.
  • Maintain current knowledge of corporate contracts within their area of responsibility.
  • Proactively and continually develop external relationships and promote mutually beneficial partnerships with local, state, and national entities, clients, key stakeholders, constituents, other healthcare organizations and the community at large.
  • Represent the company at external functions upon request.
  • Meet regularly with department directors and Senior Vice President, Outreach Services to stay informed, to offer information and support for inter-departmental projects and to confer on organizational goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Prepare and submit required reports on program progress and performance.
  • Review and implement annual departmental budget. Monitor and control department expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Train assigned staff on job specific regulations and contract requirements.
  • Meet regularly with assigned staff to communicate pertinent information, needs and requests to other team members as appropriate.
  • Meet regularly with contractors to ensure deliverables are being met satisfactorily.
  • Review and approve timesheets, leave request, EA’s, ER’s, or Cost Point requisitions (including Outreach supplies and/or travel) of assigned staff as requested or at the direction Senior Vice President Outreach Services or Vice President Member Services.
  • Manage the logistical aspects of scheduling meetings, trainings, conferences, seminars, exhibits, etc. held or presented by department/division. Support management of conferences. Ensure all conferences and events are successful from beginning to end.
  • Lead reporting efforts for all Medicaid contract deliverables and internal departmental reporting. Managing resources to meet monthly, quarterly, year-end deadlines and ad hoc request.
  • Oversee/Assign Outreach Logistics projects to admin staff outside of the appointed contract areas including ad hoc projects.
  • Manage Member Services administrative support staff.
  • Assist as needed with AFMC Executive Team Administrative Support
  • Follow AFMC, state and federal protocols regarding data confidentiality/security and HIPAA compliance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices):

Mobility, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, ability to read and write, ability to communicate with personnel, ability to remain calm under stress and ability to travel. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

EDUCATION:

Required : RN or Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate related discipline.

EXPERIENCE:

Required : Five (5) years’ professional experience in the related field with management of personnel or programs.
Five (5) years of grant/contract reporting management work and leadership experience. Three (3) years’ leadership experience.
Desirable : Experience in a healthcare administration setting and grant/contract management.
