Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks a Manager of Project Materials to lead global materials management for capital projects. The role oversees storage, receipt, issuance, procurement, inventory control, and planning, with a focus on safety, cost, and schedule objectives.

Travel to Bagdad and other FMI locations is required as needed. You will develop plans, standard reporting, and interfaces between materials systems, while partnering with Global Supply Chain to optimize resources and maintain inventory

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management, systems & project management, and analysis projects.
• Strong collaboration with construction teams and vendors.
• Knowledge of warehouse management, material receiving, and OS&D reporting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee global execution of capital project materials management activities.
• Develop and maintain standardized material status reporting for visibility.
• Plan and execute logistics for capital projects including packaging and delivery.

Travel frequency dependent on business needs.***Lead and oversee the global execution of capital project materials management activities, including materials storage, receipt, issuance, procurement, inventory control, container management, and requirements planning. Ensure consistent processes and standards across projects while directing project materials teams to achieve safety, scope, cost, and schedule objectives. Establishes tactical and strategic goals, objectives, policies and procedures.* Collaborate in the development of project Materials Execution Plans, defining project-specific strategies, processes, resource requirements, and staffing needs.* Develop and maintain standardized material status reporting to provide accurate, timely visibility into project materials performance and requirements.* Support the planning and execution of logistics activities for capital projects, including packaging, inspections, transportation, and delivery of capital equipment and materials.* Design and implement material tracking and control systems that enhance project efficiency, visibility, and execution performance.* Partner with Global Supply Chain leaders to ensure compliance with site requirements and optimize the utilization of materials, resources, and personnel across projects.* Ensure critical project materials and supplies are stored, managed, and issued accurately, safely, and in accordance with project and operational requirements.* Lead and evaluate the performance of project materials teams, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and communicating recommendations to project leadership.* Oversee the accuracy and effectiveness of materials management system interfaces, including receiving, storage, and issuance processes, to ensure compliance and maintain inventory integrity.* Perform other duties as required.## **What You Bring To Freeport*** High School diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years experience in inventory management, systems & project management and analysis projects required, OR* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline and ten (10) years combined experience in inventory management, system & project management and analysis projects required, OR* Master’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline and eight (8) years combined experience in inventory management, system & project management and analysis projects required.## **Preferred Qualifications*** Experienced in warehouse management, laydown yard development, material receiving, OS&D reporting, and the efficient placement and organization of materials to maximize project storage space and support construction activities.* Working experience with construction teams and contractors to support effective coordination, communication, and successful project execution.* Working knowledge of various pipe types, specifications, and handling requirements, with the ability to support material management and construction activities on pipeline projects.**What We Offer You**The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$112,000-$160,000**. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.
