Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Manager of Project Management for LSS Mods & Upgrades in Grand Rapids, MI. This role leads a team of project managers on complex, strategic programs, designing opportunities and ensuring successful delivery within budget and schedule.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Business or Engineering, 5+ years in project management, and 3-5 years in material handling, with strong leadership and communication skills. Travel up to 40% is expected.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering is required.
• At least 3-5 years' experience in material handling industry.
• 5 years' of experience in project management.
• 2-5 years' experience managing matrix or direct reports.
• Demonstrated team leadership and facilitation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Projects.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time (may include weekends).

Responsibilities

• Leads project managers in full scope of responsibilities for the most complex or strategic projects or programs.
• Designs and develops strategic project/program opportunities.
• Leads project/program management role (schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource allocation) for complex projects or programs.
• Provides functional or business process leadership on complex projects or programs.
• Leads the design of continuous improvement opportunities.
• May cultivate client relationships and sales opportunities.
• Defines workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships for optimum effectiveness.
• Develops and manages departmental budgets and/or business plans for a large unit.
• Analyzes effectiveness of policies/products and sets future direction for functional policies and programs.
• Identifies resource needs with significant influence on approvals.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems across departments.
• Determines organizational structures and supervisory relationships.
• Ensures overall success of function or project across multi-departments.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $130,000 - $161,500 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

• Successfully defines work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness.

• Develops and manages departmental budgets and/or business plans for a large department or business unit or division.

• Analyzes effectiveness of policies/products and establishes future direction for functional policies and programs or products that affect company as a whole.

• Identifies resource needs with significant influence on approval of identified needs.

• Troubleshoots and resolves most complex problems within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas.

• Determines organizational structures and supervisory relationship.

• Responsible for overall success of function or project within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas.

What We are Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
