About Us: The Caturus platform was founded by Kimmeridge, an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector, with subsequent additional investment by Mubadala Energy. Caturus is building an independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations and Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 Mtpa LNG export terminal in southwestern Louisiana. Together, they will provide low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint.

Job Description
Position Summary

The Manager, Project Engineer, will manage small capital projects within the Commonwealth LNG Engineering team. Responsibilities will include preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects. Monitoring compliance safety, schedule, budget, applicable codes, regulatory, best practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. The Manager, Project Engineer, should have the ability to work with multiple engineering disciplines and demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills. The candidate should also demonstrate excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develops and/or reviews project scopes of work, project execution plans, divisions of responsibility between various stakeholders.
  • Develops and/or reviews project cost estimates, schedule, manpower and forecast.
  • Monitors and develops reports on progress of project execution.
  • Delivers progress presentations to the management team.
  • Manages internal and external interfaces to ensure effective coordination, teamwork and timely delivery of information.
  • Develops and/or reviews project quality assurance plans.
  • Develops and maintains KPIs to track delivery against project objectives, including budget, schedule, safety and quality expectations.
  • Manages internal and external resources to ensure delivery of project within budget, schedule and quality expectations.
  • Use best practices in change management to control scope changes and the associated cost and schedule impacts.
  • Ensures quality of project deliverables, including documentation, materials and field execution (if applicable).
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to create more efficient engineering solutions and execution methods to maintain project profitability.
  • Leads development of ITB packages.
  • Leads technical and commercial evaluations of contractor proposals and contracts
  • Responsible for formal communication with contractors.
  • Manages multidiscipline Management of Change (MOCs) to ensure quality documentation and efficient approval and execution.
  • Provides project justification and stewards proposed projects through the internal approval process.
  • Leads project team meetings and issues meeting minutes.
Qualifications

Education, Certificates, and Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

Experience:

  • 20 plus years of prior or relevant work experience as an Engineer required.
  • LNG experience preferred.

  • Ability to comprehend design specifications, standards, and contracts.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to conduct efficient meetings.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive scopes of work.
