Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead cost, schedule and technical performance for E-2D programs on site in Melbourne, FL. You will direct cross-functional IPTs, manage baselines and budgets, and serve as a key liaison with customers and management.

Strong background in program management, engineering and business processes is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance and travel as needed.

Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.This position will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance of programs within the E-2D Production IPT, leading cross-functional teams of highly qualified personnel to manage contract cost, schedule, and technical performance while shaping program requirements for follow-on efforts.This leadership role is located onsite in Melbourne, FL.This position establishes and manages milestones, monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program risks and opportunities, and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications. This position directs and manages the work of employees assigned to the program, from technical to operations and administrative.The successful candidate must have a record of achieving success in leading diverse technical teams, navigating internal processes, communicating with customers, creating a work environment that engages our employees, managing suppliers, bringing clarity and clear direction to ambiguous situations, excelling in the fundamentals of program management, and discerning use of predictive metrics.Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems and include, but are not limited to:Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer communityEstablishing a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizationsLeading and directing cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectivesMeasuring and reporting program performanceDelivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholdersParticipating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.Creation, review and finalization of the Program Statement of WorkIdentification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirementsEstablishment and management of the program and subordinate baselinesDevelopment and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and toolsIdentifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planningManaging suppliers to meet program objectives.Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standardsEnsuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activitiesDevelopment and adherence to master plans and schedulesConducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realizationPossesses knowledge of the aircraft in Air Vehicle & Power PropulsionWe offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. You deliver excellence, strive for continuous improvement and respond vigorously to change.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below.Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Active US Government Secret clearance or higherPrior experience with E-2 programsPrior experience in managing Navy contractsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by the company.Travel expected: 50%Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
