Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Program Manager 1 for on-site work in Baltimore, MD. You will support the ATP Production Program Office, manage system integration and test activities, and lead cross-functional teams to meet cost, schedule and technical goals. A Secret clearance is required or must be obtainable.

You will drive proposals, manage risk, and ensure contract scope adherence while coordinating with suppliers and customers to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant government program management experience.

This position will be located on-site in Baltimore, MD and will support the Production Program Office within the Advanced Tactical Programs (ATP) OU for the Tactical Fighters BU. This position is 100% on-site.What You’ll Get To Do:The primary objective will be supporting the ATP Production Program Office with the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. Specifically this role will focus on managing and coordinating production system integration and test and sell-off activities. The individual will assist leading a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:The M1 Program Manager is responsible for assisting in proposal development, execution, and completion (contract closeout). Primary responsibilities are included but not limited to:Conducting risk, issue and opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization.Managing and coordinating system integration and test and the production sell-off process.Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope and manages change through control board activities.Adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools.Cultivating customer relationships and presenting program status at customer engagements.Leading cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives.Managing suppliers to meet program and customer objectives.Driving common process improvements within scope of business to improve supplier and program performance.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years’ experience supporting US Government contracts and/or customers in a project/technical lead role; OR a Master’s degree and 3 years’ relevant experience.Demonstrated professional and/or military experience in technical project management, program management, business management, global supply chain, and engineering through documented work history.Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and schedule development tools to develop cost and schedule baselines, track cost/schedule performance, etc.Demonstrated experience leading/managing production programs and teams.US citizenship is required.A current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years) required to be considered and the ability to qualify for access to Special Access Programs (SAPs).Preferred Qualifications:An active Special Access Program clearance.Demonstrated experience serving as the primary customer interface on a program or project execution.Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering written and oral briefings to customers and senior leadership, including executive level stakeholders.Demonstrated experience supporting systems integration and test and sell-off activities.Demonstrated experience hands-on experience using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and schedule development tools (e.g. Ms. Project) to develop and maintain program cost and schedule baselines; track and analyze cost and schedule performance metrics (CPI/SPI); and identify and report cost or schedule variances.CAM certification or equivalent experience and experience utilizing earned value management (EVM) principles, including cost forecasting, variance analysis, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) development.Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.What We Can Offer YouNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
