Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Manager 2, Program Planning to lead the Schedule Management team on-site in Melbourne, FL. This role drives Integrated Master Schedule development, performance reviews, and collaboration with internal and external partners to meet program objectives.

You will oversee IMS/IMP implementation, EVMS practices, and schedule risk analyses, providing clear leadership and strategic direction in a fast-paced defense program environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience
• Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk
• Experience and knowledge in Earned Value Planning and Schedule Management
• Experience with the Assessment (SRA) approach and execution
• Ability to obtain and maintain final adjudicated US government Secret clearance in reasonable time

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts
• Perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews
• Develop direct team knowledge and depth
• Prepares, develops and coordinates the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet program objectives
• Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
• Provides weekly status and reporting
• Conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
• Implements scheduling best practices including DCMA 14-point, DI-MGMT-81861, NDIA EIA-748 32 Guidelines, EVMS
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
• Critical Path Methodology (CPM)
• Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
• Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis
• Performing detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis and make recommendations
• Creating presentation content and present to leadership
• Working with multiple functional and supplier teams and the Program/Project Manager

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience; OR Master's degree with 5 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience OR Associate's Degree with 9 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 11 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience
• Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk
• Experience and knowledge in Earned Value Planning and Schedule Management
• Experience with the Assessment (SRA) approach and execution
