Job summary

Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) is seeking a Manager to lead a 106-person SOATB/SIMO support team with direct reporting to the ATS site lead. You will coordinate with Lockheed Martin and government representatives to align aircraft maintenance, flight schedules, and test support for 3 MDS aircraft.

The role supervises 3 maintenance supervisors, 11 test pilots, and 3 GSE mechanics, and involves personnel decisions, timekeeping, and briefing multiple reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in aviation maintenance with five years leadership experience.
• Prior production control experience with multiple MDS aircraft is required.
• Experience with and knowledge of SOATB operations required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Adept at briefing and presenting information and reports to mixed audiences.
• Well versed with Microsoft Office products.
• Solid knowledge of production control applications on ACN, Hydra, and HIVE.

• Coordinates with the ATS passback hangar manager for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft support.
• Creates and briefs reports on SOATB aircraft maintenance status to government, LM, and ATS leadership.
• Involved in personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
• Monitors and approves timekeeping and training per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with Lockheed Martin (LM) and government representatives to coordinate aircraft maintenance, flight schedules, and test support requirements for 3 MDS aircraft. Responsible for coordinating on-site and TDY support for SOATB and SIMO missions.
• Ensures that the MDS supervisors are providing aircraft and personnel to support both the training and testing missions.
• Ability to lead and direct a team of 106 people in the performance of assigned duties. Direct supervisor for 3 aircraft maintenance supervisors, 11 maintenance test pilots, and 3 ground support equipment mechanics.
• Coordinates with the ATS passback hangar manager for scheduled and unscheduled support for 34 assigned aircraft.
• Responsible for creating and briefing multiple reports on SOATB aircraft maintenance status to government, LM, and ATS leadership.
• Directly involved in personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions of subordinate employees.
• Monitors and approves timekeeping and training based on established procedures and applications.
