Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritize purchasing activities with clear specs and expectations.

Job description

The Production Control & Supply Chain Manager oversees production planning and the production schedule, to include forecasting the right volumes of materials, goods and products inbound to the organization from suppliers, monitoring project budgets, managing inventory and the production schedule, strategizing to find cost-effective materials from specified suppliers ,and ensuring materials are delivered according to agreed-upon terms and conditions. Additionally, the leader of this team should identify the best ways to reduce procurement expenses and manages all production planning and management activities for the site.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and prioritize purchasing activities, ensuring clarity of specifications and expectations.
• Oversee and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, capacity constraints, inventory levels, and resource availability.
• Coordinate with operations, purchasing, engineering, and sales to maintain schedule alignment.
• Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components.

• Oversee labeling accuracy to ensure correct parts and assemblies reach customers on time.
• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy and ensure proper inventory control.
• Supervise direct reports, conduct performance evaluations, and support training and development.

Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or other related field of study is advantageous
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in production control or other similar customer or manufacturing support is required
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in the supervision of personnel is required
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is required, experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry is preferred

• Experience utilizing a comprehensive ERP system is required; experience with multiple sites/organizational locations is preferred
