Job Title: Manager, Production Control and Supply Chain

Position Summary

The Manager, Production Control and Supply Chain oversees end-to-end production planning, material requirements, procurement, and site logistics to ensure seamless manufacturing execution. This role drives strategic sourcing, controls inventory levels, manages project budgets, and optimizes supply chain processes to support operational continuity while minimizing departmental expenses.

Essential Functions

• Production Scheduling & Material Planning: Oversee master schedules based on customer demand, plant capacity, and resource availability while coordinating closely with operations, engineering, and sales. Manage MRP processes and maintain strict BOM accuracy to optimize inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted operational continuity.
• Supply Chain & Procurement Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders on specs and priorities. Negotiate favorable supplier terms, review planned orders, manage POs through completion, and address supplier non-conformances to support strategic vendor base consolidation and proactive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Logistics & Inventory Oversight: Direct shipping, receiving, and material flow. Resolve material shortages, excess deliveries, and receiving/invoicing discrepancies while ensuring accurate part labeling, strict quality compliance, and total inventory control.
• Financial Oversight & Operational Metrics: Conduct cost analyses, establish performance benchmarks, manage departmental budgets, and develop procedures to track key metrics, drive cost savings, and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, train, and evaluate direct reports to build a high-performing team, foster cross-functional collaboration, and support professional development across all department operations.

Working Conditions

Work is in a manufacturing setting with varying conditions. May encounter occasional noise, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, and shop equipment like forklifts, cranes, and hand tools. Standard PPE is required, including eye, hearing, and safety footwear, plus task specific gear.
