Job summary

Beyond Gravity in Alabama is seeking an experienced supervisor to manage daily master scheduling, oversee staffing and productivity, and lead continuous improvement efforts. The role focuses on ensuring compliance training and coaching for team members in an advanced manufacturing environment.

You will supervise direct reports, develop overtime plans, and drive process improvements in aerospace-related production. Strong MS Office skills and prior supervision are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Prior supervision experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate understanding of manufacturing, engineering, and quality requirements of aerospace processes.
• Proficient with MS Office or similar tools to prepare reporting and metrics tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily master schedule and visual management boards.
• Plan overtime and allocate resources for production needs.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports at least quarterly.
• Ensure all employees are up to date with compliance training.
• Document employee coaching and performance notes.
• Validate team productivity and labor charging to meet productivity goals.
• Drive performance management and development of leads into future managers.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and 5S projects.
• Identify and implement process and quality improvements for on-time delivery.
• Resolve issues/escalations to keep area fully operational and coordinate with other areas.

Your Mission

• Schedule - develops/works daily schedule that support the high-level master schedule. These daily schedules are used to populate daily needs in the visual management boards. Leads and manages visual management tools and dashboards with information from daily schedule
• Planning of overtime & resources
• Personnel - one-on-ones with direct reports at least once per quarter
• Ensures all employees are up to date with compliance training
• Document employee coaching
• Validate team is productive and charging labor correctly to meet productivity requirement
• Performance management, development plans - develops leads into future managers
• Continuous improvement – documented and implemented
• Assess and drive 5S improvement actions
• Maintain an emphasis on FOD elimination
• Process and Quality improvements – identifies improvement opportunities and drives those opportunities to successful completion and implementation to enable delivery execution and ramp to rate.
• Issues/Escalations - resolves as many issues as possible each day to keep their area fully operational. Works with other areas and escalates issues when unable to resolve at lowest level.

Your Story

• Prior supervision experience preferred
• Firm understanding of process development, validation, and deployment in an advanced manufacturing environment (e.g., Aerospace, Automotive, Defense)
• Must demonstrate understanding of manufacturing, engineering, and quality requirements of aerospace composite integration, machining, and completion processes.
• Must demonstrate proficiency with MS Office or similar tools to prepare reporting and metrics tracking
