Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Global Upstream Product Manager to drive product strategy and lifecycle management for Respiratory Health products. You will collaborate with engineering, marketing, and regulatory teams to translate market insights into impactful product plans and launches.

What you’ll be doing:
  • This upstream product management (PM) role plans, coordinates, and manages products within the Respiratory Health business from conceptual stages, through development to launch and manages product life cycle - including sustainment and discontinuation.
  • Collaborating with a cross functional product team including engineering, commercial marketing, service, compliance, regulatory, quality, payers and sourcing to manage the entire product line life cycle, drive profitable growth, and maintain customer satisfaction and business goals.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of customer needs and workflows, as well as identifies and fills product gaps and generates new insights for features/products that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
  • Working closely with the Program Managers and Project Managers on the development team to implement product strategy and recommend the nature and scope of present and future product features.
  • Strategizing, planning, and prioritizing market, product and clinical research that identify and define opportunities to support business growth through sound clinical marketing evidence.
  • Working with finance to develop cases to support project investment.
  • Working with market research to understand market sizes, addressable segments, pricing, dynamics, competition, share position, customer drivers across multiple product lines.
  • Being the driver of the go-to-market strategy/process/plan for portfolio of products.
  • Providing oversight to management of product costs, has input to global pricing of applicable portfolio, and margin maintenance.
  • Partnering with commercial marketing teams in all global regions to support effective product launches and ongoing portfolio management.
What you’ll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of Product Management/marketing experience in healthcare, medical devices or related fields.
  • Experience with strategy development in connected healthcare solutions is a plus.
  • Experience working with co located teams preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in product life cycle management, with strong knowledge/application of multifaceted marketing strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and detailed knowledge of upstream/downstream marketing, sales, operations, regulatory, clinical and NPD processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, including internationally, may also be required.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than we anticipate based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
