NextDecade Payroll Services, LLC is seeking a Product Control Manager to ensure P&L integrity, valuation accuracy, and risk reporting across trading activities. The role partners with Front Office, Risk, Credit, and Accounting to provide forward-looking insights into earnings and exposures.
You will oversee P&L processes, valuation methodologies, and system controls (ETRM/CTRM such as OpenLink/Endur), while mentoring a team and strengthening governance across a growing commodity business.

The Product Control Manager is a critical independent control function supporting the company’s commercial and trading activities. This role is accountable for the integrity, transparency, and auditability of P&L, valuations, and risk reporting, while serving as a strategic partner to Front Office, Risk, Credit, and Accounting. The position sits at the intersection of financial control, commercial decision support, and risk governance, providing both after‑the‑fact assurance and forward‑looking insight into earnings, exposures, and sensitivities. The Product Control Manager plays a central role in strengthening the firm’s control framework as trading and commercial complexity scales.
Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or FRM preferred). Typically 8–12+ years of experience in Product Control, Trading Support, Market Risk, or Commercial Finance within energy, commodities, or financial trading environments. Strong understanding of trade lifecycles, P&L attribution, valuation concepts, derivatives, and physical commodity structures. Hands‑on experience with ETRM/CTRM platforms (OpenLink/Endur strongly preferred). Proven people leadership experience with the ability to operate as an independent control authority.
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift. Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary. Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions. While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or hear. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities. Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
