Royal Caribbean Group’s Supply Chain Group is seeking a full-time Manager, Procurement based onsite in Miami. The role leads procurement activities for HF&B categories, developing strategy, sourcing, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers and subcontractors to meet brand standards and cost objectives.
The incumbent will manage staff, coordinate with brand operations, and ensure timely procurement, quality control, and vehicle of supplier relations.

The Royal Caribbean Group’s Supply Chain Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Manager, Procurement reporting tothe AVP, Hotel, Food & Beverge Procurement .
The Manager, HF&B Procurement,is responsible formanaging and coordinating the activities of the staff engaged in fulfilling the goals andobjectivesof the Procurement function.The Manageris responsible forthe direct management of categories assigned, including development of procurement strategy andobjectivesin line with Company Brand requirements. The roleis responsible forthe sourcing, negotiation, and contracting of all products in the assigned categories.
Develops and manages an efficient total cost of ownership model which considers many complex variables including but not limited to price, freight, holding cost, currency, and supply volatility.
Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
Plans, organizes, and controls the activities related to the assigned procurement function.
Organizes, manages, and directs the work of the employees in the assigned procurementfunction,overseeing the assignment of duties,responsibilities,and workstations to employees.
Manages the sourcing, qualitycontroland supplier management for all products in the assigned categories. Manages the negotiation of all components of cost including price, freight, payment terms, and delivery terms.
Leadvalue creationinitiativesin the assigned categories. Collaborate with RCGBrandOperationstoidentifyand implement sourcing opportunitiesonnew and existing products. Analyze the data and present findings to Supply Chain andBrandOps leadership.
Evaluate and measure newand existing suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery performance, inventory level, and invoicing policies aremaintained. Periodically conduct major supplier reviews.
Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations thatutilizesappropriate negotiationand procurement techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
Manage supplier invoicing and statement reconciliation, including resolution of invoices in dispute (IID’s). Follow up with suppliers with recurring invoices in dispute to conduct root cause analysis andestablishplansfor improvement.
Prepares and issues Purchase Orders and Change Noticesas needed.
Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items tospecifications.
Assignsprocurement requests to theappropriate personnel.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field ( or the international equivalent ) and/or relevant work experience preferred .
3-5 Years Managerial experience in a cruise line , supply chain, or procurement related function .
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities; able to quickly prioritize work for maximum impact.
Ability to manage the financial aspects of the assigned procurement function, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost efficiencies .
Leads development of procurement and negotiation strategy based on multiple and often complex variables. Negotiates price, availability, transportation, and delivery schedule.
Understanding of contract terms and conditions and skilled in uniform commercial code.
Strong in analysis, forecasting, problem solving and quality improvement in the execution of strategies. Ensures total costs are identified and optimized throughout the entire procurement process.
High degree of skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all senior levels of operational personnel (shipboard and shore side).
Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the public.
Ability to manage staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing employees as they work . Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment .
