The Pricebook Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's product catalog database and pricing structures. This role involves collaborating closely with marketing, finance, and other key departments to ensure accurate, competitive, and aligned pricing for all products and services. The Pricebook Manager will manage pricing structures, implement price changes, and ensure compliance with company guidelines, financial goals, and objectives. Additionally, this role plays a critical part in driving profitability by continuously assessing pricing strategies and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency and margin optimization.
This is a remote/hybrid position.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the pricebook, ensuring all products and services are accurately priced, costed, and retailed.
- Ensure the pricebook hierarchy and structure are clearly defined, documented, and maintained in line with best practices, industry standards, and evolving technology.
- Regularly update the pricebook to reflect new product launches, market changes, and promotions.
- Audit the pricebook regularly to ensure data accuracy and consistency, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors promptly.
- Provide oversight on all invoice rebates and coordinate communication with relevant departments, as necessary.
- Align the pricebook strategy with company objectives and financial goals while ensuring internal compliance with established pricing rules, processes and timelines.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, including promotional performance, data insights, and opportunities for financial growth.
- Monitor margin impacts, such as cost creep, by implementing effective cost management practices and maintaining timely communication with relevant marketing team members, Retail VP, and other stakeholders.
- Perform cost analysis and margin optimization periodically to ensure pricing accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Serve as a safeguard to ensure that each marketing team member fully understands how pricing decisions impact or will impact specific categories or subcategories within the overall business.
- Collaborate on long-term pricing strategy development, ensuring that the pricing structure aligns with the company's overall market positioning and profitability goals.
- Collaboration and Communication: Establish strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders, promoting trust and transparency in all pricing processes, pricebook maintenance and cost-related matters.
- Address and resolve pricing discrepancies or concerns promptly, ensuring any changes are effectively communicated.
- Keep all internal partners informed of any upcoming pricebook adjustments, including price increases, promotions, and markdown strategies to ensure smooth transitions and understanding across departments and field teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated success in pricebook management (3+ years).
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Enhanced critical thinking skills to address challenges and implement effective solutions. Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, highly detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in PDI or ADD Systems back-office software.
- Category management experience (preferably in Tobacco, Cigarettes, Beer, and/ or Packaged Beverage)
- Retail convenience store and/or field management experience.
- Experience with retail analytics or business intelligence tools to track and optimize pricing strategies (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
