Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Power BI to lead our Revenue Cycle reporting and analytics team. This role will be responsible for overseeing a team of Power BI developers, ensuring the delivery of accurate, secure, and impactful reports that drive business decisions across our global organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in Power BI, data visualization, and revenue cycle analytics, along with strong leadership abilities to manage team workloads, assign and monitor tasks, and uphold security and data governance best practices.

Essential Functions:

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Power BI developers, ensuring high-quality report development and data visualization.
  • Assign, monitor, and manage workload distribution to ensure efficiency and accuracy in report creation.
  • Lead architectural decisions, troubleshoot complex report issues, and guide the team in adopting Power BI best practices.
  • While primarily a leadership role, the Manager may be expected to directly contribute to complex report development and model optimization when needed.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in Power BI development.

Power BI Development & Data Analytics:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-wide Power BI dashboards and reports to support revenue cycle operations.
  • Review and validate team-generated reports for accuracy, consistency, and business relevance.
  • Design data pipelines to ensure efficient and accurate ETL from source, through data layer and to reporting layer.
  • Work closely with revenue cycle leadership and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into data-driven insights.
  • Ensure reports and dashboards provide actionable insights to drive operational and financial performance.

Security, Compliance & Best Practices:

  • Enforce Power BI security best practices, ensuring appropriate access controls and data governance.
  • Monitor data privacy compliance and ensure adherence to HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
  • Establish and document Power BI development standards, data models, and governance policies.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Revenue Cycle teams to streamline reporting processes and enhance data integration.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure Power BI solutions meet business needs across multiple regions.
  • Communicate complex data insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience, preferably overseeing a BI or analytics team.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, healthcare finance, or financial analytics.
  • Expertise in data security, access control, and governance within Power BI.
  • Experience working in a large, global organization is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to senior leadership.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience integrating Power BI with SQL databases, Azure, or cloud-based analytics solutions.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data warehouses, and automation in Power BI.
  • Understanding of business intelligence best practices, KPI development, and data storytelling.
  • Certification in Power BI, Microsoft Data Analytics, or related fields is a plus.
