Job summary

CalvertHealth is seeking a Surgical Services Outcomes Facilitator to lead PACU, PAT, and SDS staff, ensuring service quality, patient safety, and financial performance. The role includes stepping into patient care to maintain flow when needed. Strong perianesthesia leadership and clinical skills are essential.

Required BSN or equivalent with RN licensure, 3–5 years perianesthesia experience, and 2–3 years of supervisory experience. Optional MSN/MHA/MBA and certifications support advancement.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent required; MSN/MHA/MBA preferred.
• RN – State license required.
• 3–5 years perianesthesia experience with 2–3 years supervising perianesthesia staff.
• Maintains required competencies and certifications per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to PACU, PAT, and SDS staff to meet service, quality, safety, and financial goals.
• Maintains clinical skills by assuming patient care assignments as needed to support patient flow.
• Ensures compliance with certification/licensure requirements and hospital policies.

Job description

In coordination with the Director, Surgical Services, Surgical Services Outcomes Facilitator, and medical staff, provides leadership and direction to PACU, PAT, and SDS staff to ensure service, quality, safety, and financial goals are met. Maintains clinical skills set by assuming clinical patient care assignments as necessary to meet patient flow and departmental needs.

Education:

• BSN or equivalent experience required. MSN, MHA or MBA preferred.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

• RN - State

Experience:

• Position requires 3-5 years perianesthesia experience. Position requires 2-3 years supervisory experience in perianesthesia environment.

Other Requirements:

• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
• CPR required within 30 days of hire. ACLS required within 6 months of hire. CPAN and /or CAPA certifications required within 18 months of hire. Membership in Professional Organization (ASPAN)
