Managers provide direct, day-to-day support to Director and VP PBLs and their aligned client groups, with talent rotating across businesses to build breadth of experience and enterprise capability.This role is primarily focused on delivering core people processes, employee relations support, and business partnership activities, while also providing opportunities to contribute to strategic projects and organizational initiatives.Through team collaboration and learning, the manager pool will have an opportunity to identify best practices as well as opportunities for greater consistency or improvement that can be implemented more consistently across the businesses and functions, including opportunities for automation and process enhancements.**Location:** **Newark, NJ hybrid** (minimum 3 days/week in office is required)# What You Can Expect## HR Partnership and Generalist Support* Serve as a day-to-day HR partner to managers and employees, providing consistent, practical guidance on policies, programs, performance management, and employee lifecycle events.* Act as an extension of the PBL team, translating strategic direction into clear actions, communications, and manager guidance.* Support managers through common people scenarios such as onboarding transitions, performance feedback, role clarity, and engagement challenges.* Own the operational execution of key people initiatives, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and communications are effectively managed.* Partner closely with COEs (e.g., Talent, Total Rewards) to coordinate inputs and ensure a seamless experience for leaders and employees.* Gather, analyze, and synthesize workforce and employee data to support talent discussions, decision-making, and risk identification.* Maintain proficiency in People Team systems and tools (e.g., Workday, Visier, Nadia, Teams, SharePoint) to support reporting, tracking, documentation, and process consistency.* Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce friction for managers, and enhance the employee experience.* Provide front-line manager coaching to resolve issues; escalate as needed to Employee Relations (ER).* Assist with ER investigations as needed and assist in employee issue resolution in partnership with senior PBL leaders and COEs.* Support PBLs with organizational changes (as needed) and assist PBLs with the development and execution of business cases.## Talent Management and Cyclical Processes* Execute and support talent management cycles including talent reviews, succession planning, calibration discussions, engagement activities, and year-end performance and compensation planning.* Coordinate timelines, communications, tracking, and follow-ups for performance and compensation cycles.* Serve as a point of contact for manager questions related to cyclical processes.## Strategic Execution & Special Projects* Support strategic workforce, talent, and organizational initiatives by conducting analysis, developing recommendations, and coordinating execution activities.* Contribute to workforce planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives in partnership with PBLs and cross-functional teams.* Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.# What You'll Need* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility, influence leaders, and partner effectively with employees and business stakeholders.* Strong project management and execution skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and deliver results.* Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and deliver clear, effective messaging to diverse audiences.* Ability to leverage data and insights to identify trends, assess risks, and make recommendations.* Change management experience, including helping leaders and employees navigate organizational and talent-related change.* Demonstrated learning agility, curiosity, and the ability to quickly understand new businesses, teams, and organizational priorities.* Process improvement mindset focused on simplifying work, increasing efficiency, and enhancing the employee experience.* Demonstrated accountability, ownership, and follow-through.# It'd Be a Plus If You Had* Experience supporting business leaders and employees with initiatives related to talent, culture, workforce, or organizational effectiveness priorities.* Employee Relations experience.* Experience supporting compensation and performance management cycles.* Proficiency with Workday, Visier, or similar HR technology and workforce analytics platforms.# **What we offer you:** # Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $114,500.00 to $188,900.00.
