THE TEAM

Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our Chapters around the country. The Revenue Partnerships and Services Team is committed to providing a best-in-class donor experience by elevating our fundraising programs across the country. This team of fundraising professionals are driving a culture of philanthropy to provide resources to grant a wish for every eligible child.

THE ROLE

The Manager, Peer to Peer Fundraising is a key contributor to our mission by supporting Peer to Peer (P2P) fundraising programs, including partnership with chapters and fundraising partners to drive fundraising across the Make-A-Wish enterprise.

WHERE YOU COME IN

As a Manager, Peer to Peer Fundraising at Make-A-Wish America you will:

  • Manages multiple Peer to Peer fundraising programs, including program growth strategy, creative development of resources for fundraisers and chapter staff, technology strategy for events, and activation plans for existing and new programs to drive chapter revenue.
  • Partners with chapters to ensure successful implementation of national programs through effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Develops chapter support materials, gathers chapter assets and reports that can be shared with partners, and acts as point of contact for any partner needs.
  • Develops and enhances chapter partnerships through planning, relationship building, strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Communicates with stakeholders on a consistent basis to ensure strong partnership and shared understanding of goals and programs.
  • Collaborates across national departments/teams, chapters and agencies to develop, implement, manage and enhance assigned programs.
  • Main point of contact to assigned chapters, continually exploring innovative ways to enhance chapter partnerships, to drive increased revenue and awareness for the organization.
  • Contributes to digital product roadmap that aligns business needs, strategies, and desired outcomes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to plan and design change management, training, and implementation with chapters.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing insights and recommendations to enhance Peer-to Peer Revenue strategies.
  • Work in conjunction with Director to elevate peer to peer giving within chapters.
  • Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Technology or related field preferred

A minimum of five years of total experience required. Three or more years of experience with online/peer to peer fundraising preferred.

Strong computer skills required, specifically in Microsoft Office applications.

Prior experience working with Luminate Online/TeamRaiser preferred.

Basic experience with Customer Relationship Management systems required, Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Position may require travel to organizational conferences and events.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated experience in effective peer-to-peer fundraising, utilizing established event programs.

Exhibits exceptional customer service skills; ability to work professionally with fundraisers, external partners, chapters, and all levels of staff.

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple projects to meet deadlines and deliver high quality work products.

Experience in account management, including developing, building and managing relationships. Strong demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Experience in developing, creating and executing non-profit fundraising initiatives and campaigns to achieve established organizational and program fundraising revenue goals and growth.

High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills, including virtual and in-person presentation skill, and ability to engage effectively with individuals at all experience levels.

Problem solving skill and strong judgment with ability to make timely and effective decisions in a highly collaborative manner.

Innovative mindset to drive continuous improvement and best practice solutions for chapters and partners.
