We are seeking a strategic, empathetic, and action-oriented professional to join us as Manager, Patient Advocacy & Engagement. This is a high-impact, execution-focused role that centers on delivering tangible results in patient advocacy and engagement for EU and US-based biopharmaceutical clients.
This is not a clinical trial recruitment, patient enrollment, or health policy role. Instead, you'll drive enterprise-level initiatives that integrate patient, caregiver, and community perspectives into clinical development and commercial strategies. You'll collaborate directly with top pharma and biotech teams-translating advocacy insights into concrete programs, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
Success in this position will be defined by your ability to implement initiatives that produce real-world impact for patients and communities, while aligning with client business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Execution
Lead the design and implementation of community-centered initiatives, including advocacy roundtables, insight-gathering sessions, landscape assessments, and workshops.
Manage and deliver project workstreams and deliverables on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic goals.
Coordinate logistics, content, and stakeholder involvement for multi-channel engagement activities.
Ensure all initiatives reflect principles of inclusion, cultural relevance, and health equity.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building
Cultivate and manage trusted relationships with patient leaders, advocacy organizations, caregivers, professional societies, and other community voices.
Facilitate meaningful collaboration between internal client teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and mutual value.
Develop long-term engagement models that embed external voices into ongoing decision-making processes.
Insight Integration & Reporting
Translate qualitative insights into actionable recommendations that inform strategy, content, and program design.
Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure engagement quality, reach, and impact.
Conduct benchmarking analyses to identify industry trends, gaps, and opportunities for differentiated engagement.
Strategic Advisory & Planning
Support the development of stakeholder engagement plans that are grounded in community needs and business objectives.
Conduct audits and gap analyses of current engagement activities to inform future direction.
Provide hands-on guidance to clients on aligning organizational strategies with patient advocacy goals.
Business Development & Collaboration
Contribute to proposals, project scoping, and client presentations.
Identify new opportunities to expand services and demonstrate the value of advocacy-driven approaches.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams (e.g., strategy, communications, health equity) to ensure integrated, high-quality execution.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in patient advocacy, community engagement, healthcare communications at the enterprise level.
Proven ability to deliver and execute multi-stakeholder engagement initiatives that align advocacy insights with business objectives.
Strong relationship-building, facilitation, and communication skills with both internal teams and external partners.
Experience managing programs that center patient voice and drive measurable impact across education, access, or communications.
Skilled in synthesizing qualitative insights and creating deliverables that inform enterprise-level decision-making.
Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including advocacy ecosystems, provider organizations, and the biopharma innovation pipeline.
Experience working across global markets, with a focus on US and EU healthcare environments.
Commitment to health equity and practical experience embedding DEI principles into stakeholder engagement efforts.
Why This Role Matters:
This role is about taking action-not just shaping strategy. You'll help ensure the voices of patients and communities are not only heard, but meaningfully integrated into how healthcare decisions are made. Your work will help bridge the gap between corporate priorities and real-world needs-improving how organizations communicate, engage, and deliver for the people they serve.
