Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• The Outsourced Client Controller for the technology industry provides advisory services to clients via scheduled remote meetings regarding financial statements, cash-flow forecasts, and budgets.
• Serve as the direct point of contact for technology industry client engagements.
• Partner with clients or Fractional CFO/Finance Directors to maintain relationships within the tech-innovation industry.
• Research and share knowledge of best practices relevant to each client’s business concerns.
• Oversee client accounting teams to ensure expectations are met on all deliverables.
• Manage financial reporting accuracy for clients and investors.
• Provide technical accounting assistance to clients and internal teams.
• Review and finalize accounting period closes.
• Analyze and review financial statements, management reports, and KPIs.
• Prepare cash-flow forecasts, budgets, and assist CFO with projections and financial models.
• Prepare financial data for capital raises or due diligence data rooms when applicable.
• Work with clients to review and improve internal controls.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage internal team budgets and performance expectations.
• Handle multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities, from startups to companies preparing for exit.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including financial statement preparation as an assistant controller or controller, or similar in public accounting.
• Experience as a financial controller in the technology industry preferred.
• Experience with venture capital or private equity-backed companies is a plus.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple relationships.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, and Bill.com is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Our compensation includes a range of $88,000 to $160,000, with potential for bonuses based on performance. Actual salary depends on various factors including location, skills, experience, and certifications.
