Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead outbound shipping at the Cranbury, NJ centralized distribution center. You will oversee a team of direct and indirect reports, prioritize safety, and drive on-time shipments with high accuracy.

The role requires warehouse leadership experience, strong communication, and bilingual Spanish abilities. The position offers two shifts with flexible scheduling and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage outbound shipping operations for the Cranbury DC.

• Promote warehouse safety programs to ensure a safe workplace.
• Support efforts to recruit and retain warehouse staff for 2nd/3rd shifts.
• Coach a team of 6 direct and 50 indirect reports for growth.
• Prioritize workload to achieve 100% on-time shipments and 99.9% accuracy.
• Ensure staff trained in multiple warehouse functions for staffing balance.
• Communicate status updates with wire dept and dispatch team.
• Ensure safe, efficient equipment and recommend upgrades.
• Motivate employees to meet productivity and efficiency goals.

What You Will Do

• Manage the outbound shipping operations for state of the art Centralized Distribution Center.
• Prioritize the safety and wellness of all employees through training, policy enforcement, and cohesion
• Promote and adhere to warehouse safety programs to provide employees with a safe and clean workplace.
• Support efforts to recruit and retain warehouse associates for the 2nd and 3rd shift
• Coach and mentor a team of 6 direct reports and 50 indirect reports to build a strong foundation and create internal growth opportunities
• Prioritize daily workload and staffing needs to achieve 100% on-time shipment and 99.9% shipment accuracy rate.
• Ensure that staff is appropriately trained in multiple warehouse functions, to assist in balancing staffing needs while fulfilling customer orders.
• Communicate status updates with the wire department and dispatch team.
• Ensure that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform their functions.
• Recommend equipment requirements and replacements to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
• Motivate employees to meet productivity goals and efficiency goals.

What You Will Bring

• Prior warehouse management experience.
• Strong communication and delegation skills.
• Proven ability to build and mentor a team
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• The ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to obtain certification in the operation of powered industrial trucks including but not limited to, pallet jack, forklift, and order picker.
• The desire to maintain an organized and positive warehouse environment.
• The ability to operate computers and/or relevant warehouse computer software.
• Familiarity and adaptability to automation systems.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• This job is performed in a standard warehouse setting around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory.
• The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
• The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs and heavier weights with proper equipment.
• The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
• The ability to operate appropriate powered industrial trucks safely. Training will be provided.

Salary Range: This is an exempt position with a salary range from $85-$95K annually. The rate offered is based on relevant experience.

Location: This position is based out of our Cranbury, NJ Central Distribution Center.

Work Hours: Based off business need across two different shifts. The manager has flexibility to schedule their work hours to best support the operation. 2nd shift operates from 3:30PM-until completion. 3rd shift operates from 8:30PM-until completion.
