KPMG LLP in Des Moines, IA seeks a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice, providing tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base, from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses.

You will collaborate on ASC 740 and tax provisions, manage client engagements, lead teams, and contribute to market activities to grow the practice. A strong background in corporate tax and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firm.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740
• Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships
• Solid experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
• Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager: Minimum eight years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firm
• Experience mentoring and counseling staff/senior level team members

Responsabilités

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experiences; advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice
• Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
• Oversee teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects
• Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
• Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets
• Team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice
