Position Overview: The Manager of Operational Technology at AES Clean Energy will oversee the network and infrastructure supporting critical SCADA and control systems for renewable energy projects across the US, including solar, wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen. You will lead a team ensuring operational excellence, security, compliance, and continuous improvement, fostering your IT expertise and digital transformation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system resilience and compliance.
  • Act as the primary contact for Operations leadership, aligning priorities and fostering relationships.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure, Network, Cybersecurity, and NERC Compliance teams to manage tasks and incident backlog.
  • Ensure IT controls and NERC compliance, providing audit evidence and maintaining digital stewardship.
  • Develop strategic operational improvements to enhance performance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Senior Analysts and Analysts, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze performance, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to IT, Cybersecurity policies, and NERC standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in operations technology management or control systems implementation.
  • Proven experience in IT operations, incident, request, change, and problem management.
  • Knowledge of renewables projects and NERC compliance is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with accountability.
