Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits is seeking a warehouse leader to direct all warehouse activities with a focus on accuracy, safety, and operational excellence.

You will oversee supervisors, ensure inventory integrity, and drive productivity across the site, including October–December peak periods and potentially overnight hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or similar system
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with State laws

Responsibilities

• Manage inventories by supervising operations supervisors; receive purchases, store products, fulfill orders, and bill merchandise
• Ensure warehousing staff follow policies on safety, inventory controls, and service procedures
• Develop and coach a supervisory team to direct all warehouse activities
• Oversee cycle counts, audits, and quarterly physical inventories to maintain accuracy
• Ensure order filling accuracy and product quality for retail customers
• Coach and mentor supervisors on performance and productivity expectations
• Identify opportunities for employee development and performance improvements
• Provide safety training and investigate incidents; recommend maintenance improvements

Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings of $100000 - $115000 / year including bonus and incentives. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Responsible for leadership and management in a warehouse with small volume, scope, and complexity. This role will provide overall direction and coordination of all warehouse activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage all inventories through the management of operations supervisors by receiving purchases from suppliers, storing the products, filling orders to customers, and billing the merchandise
• Ensure all warehousing employees understand and operate within the organizational, operational, inventory controls, safety, and service policies and procedures
• Manage and develop a supervisory team responsible for directing all warehouse activities and managing employee teams in the warehouse
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate inventories through weekly cycle counts, audits, and full physical inventories quarterly
• Ensure the accuracy of filling orders to retail customers and the quality of products
• Coach, train, direct, and counsel operations supervisors on overall performance
• Define productivity expectations and efficiencies; monitor progress regularly
• Identify and recommend opportunities for employee development and performance improvements

Additional Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and recommend maintenance improvements in the warehouse by conducting safety training, accident investigations, and equipment and facility inspections
• Investigate complaints involving such matters as damaged product, wrong product loaded onto trucks, inventory adjustments and variances, delays in shipments, and product quality issues; make necessary adjustments and improvements
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• Additional hours may be required during October, November, and December and other peak periods
• Capable of working flexible hours which could include overnight, early morning, and/or late evening
• May requireworking at heightsof8feetor greater
• May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 48lbs
