Manager, Onsite Event Staffing

As the Manager, Onsite Event Staffing, you will be a pivotal leader in ensuring the successful staffing of our events. You will oversee a team of Volunteer Coordinators, driving volunteer recruitment and engagement, while also serving as the strategic point of contact for our staffing agency partner. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing our event staffing strategy, ensuring all supplemental event roles are filled efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong leader who can work independently and remotely, with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage a team of Volunteer Coordinators, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Establish clear team goals and objectives, and monitor progress.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for our staffing agency partner, ensuring alignment with event staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine staffing requirements for all supplemental event roles.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive event staffing strategy, utilizing both volunteer and staffing agency resources.
  • Analyze staffing data and trends to optimize resource allocation and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure all event roles are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the staffing agency partner.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Closely manage a large-scale staffing budget.
  • Generate regular reports on staffing metrics, including volunteer recruitment, staffing agency performance, and cost analysis.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience managing a team; remote management experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in event staffing, volunteer management, seasonal staffing, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., ASANA project management software, remote communication platforms - Gsuite, Slack, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze data effectively and generate reports.
