Qualifications

  • 1 year of management experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health, business, or service related field preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in customer service positions preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required upon completion of orientation period.
  • Current Shallow Water Lifeguard preferred.

  • Work with health department for inspections and compliance issues.

Title: Manager on Duty - PRN

The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible to oversee all operations of the Wellness Center to ensure the delivery of friendly, professional, high quality experiences for our membership. This position has a broad range of responsibilities at the Wellness Center. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Staff Supervision
    • Designated person in charge during their shift and will therefore have the responsibility of ensuring all staff members are present. Will be trained to cover any area of the club as needed.
    • Supervise all staff activities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for members and guests.
    • Offer assistance to staff in each area of the club as needed.
    • Make regular rounds in the facility to ensure staff is productive, safe and engaged.
  • Management
    • Liaison between the Wellness Center and the membership in regards to any issues within the Wellness Center.
    • MOD must be available to answer member questions.
    • Make regular rounds in the facility to ensure all rules and safety guidelines are being followed by members and guests.
    • Respond to all emergencies and coordinate care as needed.
    • Respond to the daily needs of the club membership.
    • Respond to all voicemail/e-mail messages in a timely manner and follow-up effectively.
    • Timely completion of required paperwork and follow up as needed.
    • Review all maintenance concerns and assign the necessary staff to help resolve the issue in a timely manner.
    • Communicate with the Director regarding daily concerns or needs.
    • Communicate with all front line staff regarding upcoming promotions, programs and operational changes to ensure that they are able to provide the most current information to assist members.
    • Work with all MOD’s to help enhance the member experience during every member visit.
    • Attendance with active participation in meetings.
    • Communicate with all MOD’s regarding services being offered, changes is policies, promotional materials, attendance/participation, member questions/suggestions, etc.
    • Market and promote all fitness programs and services with the goal of enhancing member participation in these events.
    • Work with health department when necessary for inspections and compliance issues.

  • Professional Development
    • Attend any club sponsored developmental or educational seminars and programs.
    • Continually strive to improve management skills.

Shift Time Type: Part time. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40.

Cost Center: 2727 Administration - General (BSH).
