Job summary

Hilton Austin is seeking a Manager on Duty (MOD) to lead hotel operations during shifts, ensuring safety and guest satisfaction. You will supervise front desk activities, staffing, and service delivery, while coordinating across departments to maintain smooth operations.

The MOD will report to the Director of Security and is responsible for ensuring concise communication, guest issue resolution, and adherence to policy while delivering Hilton's renowned hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations including front desk, staffing, room inventory, guest service and policy compliance
• Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve issues with a friendly, efficient approach
• Provide cross-department support such as bell service or front desk coverage during breaks or busy periods
• Conduct safety and security walkthroughs and address issues promptly
• Deliver regular updates and training to keep the team informed about hotel offerings and local attractions
• Monitor guest satisfaction metrics (e.g., SALT, Revinate) and implement improvements
• Supervise and develop team members, coaching to foster a positive work environment
• Supervise property safety operations and act as a liaison with law enforcement

The Hilton Austin is adding a unique new position to its team! We are seeking a Manager on Duty (MOD) to serve as the go-to leader during their shift, ensuring a safe, secure, and seamless experience for both guests and team members.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Hilton corporate-managed property and work cross-functionally with all departments. The Manager on Duty will provide leadership, support, and immediate assistance where needed while helping ensure the hotel operates smoothly throughout the shift.

Schedule: The majority of shifts will be 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with Flexible scheduling may be required based on business demand and operational needs.

Compensation: Salaried Based Position

On-Site Benefits: Complimentary meal during each shift., Complimentary parking, Discounted dry cleaning for work attire, Discounted membership at the on-site F45 Fitness Center.

• Inspire and develop the team: Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment
• Manage Security Operations: Supervise property safety and act as law enforcement liaison
