Job summary

A casino and entertainment company in Las Vegas seeks a Manager on Duty to oversee casino operations and ensure exceptional customer service. The role includes training employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing cash handling, and addressing guest concerns. Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and comply with gaming regulations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming Registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
  • Reaching, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all guests receive friendly and courteous service.
  • Control cash handling in accordance with gaming procedures.
  • Inspect machines and ensure cleanliness and working condition.
  • Assist in implementing marketing and promotional activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning guests and company assets.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations related to health, safety, labor, and gaming requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all relevant information concerning guests, employees, and company assets.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports with Security and Human Resources.
  • Assist with assigning employees’ work duties and tasks.
  • Ensure adequate staffing coverage on the casino floor and in Food & Beverage as needed; make fair and consistent decisions regarding sending employees home early based on business needs.
  • Participate in employment decisions as needed.
  • Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of casino relations.
  • Be knowledgeable of casino employment policies and assist in administering prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Address complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Attend meetings and training as required.

Description

Administer policies relating to all areas of casino floor, and food and beverage operations. Achieve company objectives in customer service, quality of service, and appearance of facility through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Control cash handling in the cage and on the casino floor by adhering to reconciliation procedures in accordance with gaming and casino policies.
  • Fill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cashier experience in a casino environment preferred.

Language Ability:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.

Math Ability:

  • Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming Registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
  • TAM card.
  • Southern NV Health Card.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Reaching, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, smoky, loud casino environment.
  • Ability to work in a small, confined office setting.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills.
