Job summary

Summit Public Schools seeks a Manager of Student Enrollment to lead district-wide enrollment strategy across the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle. You will shape policies, oversee applications, lotteries, outreach, and family engagement.

You will manage data dashboards, monitor trends, and collaborate with leaders, schools, and external partners while guiding the recruitment team and leveraging AI to streamline operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years work experience; school-site operations experience highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel between schools and work weeknights/weekends.
  • Meet health clearance and pass background checks per education code.
  • Expertise in CRM and Marketing Systems with HubSpot to manage recruitment.
  • Data fluency with data visualization to analyze recruitment trends.
  • Proficiency in Google Platforms (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Manager of Student Enrollment

What You’ll Do:
Student Recruitment and Enrollment
  • Provides strategic leadership, insight, and vision for enrollment and registration philosophies, policies, and processes.
  • Creates and maintains enrollment strategies specific to the application and enrollment process, including application development and processing, lottery, stakeholder outreach, relationship management with external parties (e.g. feeder schools) and communication with potential and incoming families.
  • Act as a primary internal and external expert within Summit Public Schools for all topics related to recruitment and enrollment.
  • Provides regular information and analysis to Organization Leadership, the Board and other community stakeholders on the progress of student recruitment and enrollment across the organization, highlighting successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Creates and maintains a comprehensive data dashboard tracking enrollment across the organization, monitoring trends including student retention, departures and intra-organization transfers.
  • Collects, monitors and reports performance metrics, solicits feedback and evaluates effectiveness of enrollment processes related to applications, registration, and student need identification (e.g. multilingual learners, IEPs, housing insecurity).
  • Maintains effective continuous improvement mechanisms, makes recommendations for sustainable improvements, and successfully executes change initiatives.
  • Leads and supports in-person school and network-wide recruitment and enrollment activities & events (i.e. open houses, tabling, canvassing, community presentations, high school fairs) during work hours and occasionally during evenings and weekends.
  • Provides side-by-side support for school-based Special Projects Managers and Office Managers.
  • Design, maintain, and distribute Summit collateral and recruitment materials.
School Advocate & Community Outreach
  • Serve as a visible and strong advocate for families and students in the issues around school choice and access for all students to high-quality educational options.
  • Present in community forums and meetings, including detailed information and promoting interaction with the community on the major policy issues surrounding enrollment and school choice.
  • Participate in and facilitate various meetings, assuming a leadership role on designated organization and external committees, as needed.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage family champions and seasonal recruiters and volunteers.
  • Create, lead, and facilitate professional development for seasonal recruiters and volunteers.
Team Leadership and Innovation
  • Collaborate with school leaders to support school-specific outreach and enrollment events.
  • Provides guidance and direct supervision to the seasonal recruiters.
  • Manage an outreach & enrollment budget.
  • Commit to continual professional growth, participating actively in personalized learning plans, career matrix conversations, and professional development workshops.
  • Welcome and on-board new Summit faculty and families.
  • Continuously improve and innovate using AI, improving workflow automation, vibe-coding, and school-based operations tools.
Digital Marketing and Engagement
  • Launch and manage digital advertising campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads) to increase brand awareness and drive high-quality leads into the recruitment pipeline.
  • Collaborate on and execute social media strategy by supporting the creation, scheduling, and posting of engaging content that highlights school culture, student success, and enrollment milestones.
  • Optimize lead conversion through targeted digital tactics, ensuring that leads and other digital inquiries are moved through the HubSpot pipeline with urgency and precision.
  • Analyze digital performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of various advertising channels and social media engagement, making data-driven recommendations for budget allocation and content strategy.
School Based Operations
  • Occasionally provide main office coverage and school support.
  • Drive and facilitate network-wide Ops Team culture initiatives (i.e. swag, awards, celebrations, team building).
  • Lead and support Office Manager, Special Projects Manager, and Dean of Operations professional development.
  • Coordinate network-wide facilities, student safety, meal service, finance, HR, and compliance initiatives.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
What You Need: Key Qualities and Skills

  • Expertise in CRM and Marketing Systems: High proficiency in HubSpot (or similar CRM platforms) to manage the recruitment pipeline, track lead engagement, and automate marketing workflows.
  • Data Fluency: Experience using data visualization tools to analyze recruitment trends and report on campaign ROI.
  • Proficiency in Google Platforms, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.

Our compensation policy strives to be equitable and transparent. The salary for this position starts at $85,967 and goes up to $101,561 commensurate with location, experience, and qualifications.
