Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for a Manager Program 1 to support the Speargun Production Program in the Active RF OU in Linthicum, MD. This program is responsible for the manufacturing and testing of high-volume space payloads.

The ideal candidate will possess strong execution skills and collaborative people skills with the proven ability to work within a technically dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced operating unit.

The selected candidate will lead and manage the build and integration of Factory Test Equipment efforts with XDREX, Panel, ESA, Payload, and Processor. This position reports to the AI&T PM for the program and will be responsible for:

  • Understanding test flow for hardware built at Space Autoline & Test (SALT)
  • Ensuring all test equipment, including thermal chambers, has floor space allocated through facilities
  • Working with calibration services to schedule hardware calibration with minimal production disruption
  • Attending engineering IPT meetings to understand technical challenges that may pose risks for test set build
  • Setting expectations for technical staff supporting hardware and software integration
  • Collaborating with Mission Assurance, Test Engineering, and AI&T leads to complete gating events for Test Equipment certifications
  • Coordinating with manufacturing leadership for release and assembly of test equipment
  • Developing test equipment and build plans aligned with the production schedule
  • Managing tasks within cost and schedule constraints

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 3+ years; PhD with supporting experience
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, current and within scope, with ability to obtain SCI access
  • Experience leading tasks on schedule, cost, and requirements
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and determine objectives
  • Experience in planning schedules and activities to meet objectives
  • Ability to respond to executive and customer goals rapidly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership or managerial experience
  • Experience with factory execution of production programs
  • Leadership experience on government programs over $10M
  • Experience with earned value management and capture management
  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams

Salary Range: $124,000.00 - $186,000.00

The salary range is a guideline; actual offers depend on various factors including experience, education, and skills. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and long-term incentives. Northrop Grumman offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, paid holidays, and PTO.
