About Us:

Lakeshore Transportation is a growing NEMT company serving clients across Sheboygan County Wisconsin with a fleet of 16 vans and a dedicated team of drivers. We work closely with Medicaid providers and private pay clients to deliver reliable, on-time transportation for medical appointments, hospital discharges, and daily care. We're looking for a strong leader to take ownership of our daily operations and help us grow while maintaining the high standards our clients rely on.

Position Summary:

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the business, including overseeing dispatching, managing drivers, ensuring compliance with Medicaid and payer requirements, maintaining vehicle readiness, and communicating with clients and care coordinators. This role is designed to give the owners flexibility by placing daily operational control in the hands of a capable and experienced leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily operations across dispatch, scheduling, and billing support
• Supervise, train, and support drivers and administrative staff
• Coordinate and oversee vehicle maintenance and readiness
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid payers (INCLUSA, Community Care, My Choice, IRIS, etc.)
• Review daily schedules for efficiency and proactively resolve route or staffing issues
• Respond to time-sensitive client and facility requests (hospital discharges, urgent trips, etc.)
• Maintain and improve internal systems for trip tracking, reporting, and communication
• Collaborate with owners on strategy, staffing needs, and growth initiatives
• Monitor KPIs like on-time rate, trip volume, vehicle downtime, and cost efficiency
• Serve as primary contact for problem resolution related to trips, staff, or client issues

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in an operations, logistics, or healthcare coordination role (NEMT but not required)
• 3+ years in a management role required - Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience in scheduling, dispatching, or transportation logistics
• Familiarity with Medicaid billing rules or willingness to learn payer processes
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable using technology (dispatching software, QuickBooks, spreadsheets, etc.)
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-time, Monday–Friday (occasional evening/weekend calls if urgent issues arise)
• Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on experience
