Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The Birth Place is a 33,000-square-foot Labor and Delivery unit with 25 private patient rooms, six labor/delivery/recovery suites and two surgical suites. The Rehabilitation Institute, inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center, and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department are available at Palmdale Regional Medical Center. The center supports nonprofit agencies and is committed to building a healthier community.
This opportunity offers the following:
This position reports to the Director and has initial oversight and staff scheduling for the department. Provides leadership for the department and assists with direction in achieving service growth and achievement. Assists in the development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. Assists director to ensure that HC AHPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are in acceptable ranges and improving. Ensures the department is survey ready at all times, including nursing documentation, facility readiness, and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.
