Job Summary
Our client, a top-tier Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an experienced Manager of Network Engineering to lead and evolve their global network infrastructure. This strategic role is central to the design, implementation, and operational excellence of the firm's network services across all locations.
The successful candidate will have deep technical expertise in advanced networking technologies such as BGP, SD-WAN, and QoS, along with hands-on experience managing hybrid cloud connectivity in Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. Responsibilities include overseeing daily network operations, driving strategy, and ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Architecture & Operations: Lead the design, deployment, and management of a resilient global WAN, optimize SD-WAN solutions, and implement routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.
- Cloud Integration: Design and maintain secure connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and cloud environments (Azure/AWS). Support hybrid strategies with routing and monitoring solutions.
- Performance & Traffic Management: Develop QoS policies, monitor network performance, and troubleshoot issues related to latency, bandwidth, or connectivity.
- Team Leadership & Growth: Manage and mentor a distributed team of 24 network engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Strategic Planning & Innovation: Define a strategic roadmap aligned with business goals, evaluate emerging technologies for security and scalability.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure uptime, system integrity, compliance, and implement monitoring and disaster recovery protocols.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to align strategies and resolve complex issues.
- Project Oversight: Plan and execute network projects, managing timelines, resources, and vendor relationships.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven leadership in managing global networking teams in professional services.
- Expertise in LAN/WAN, cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS.
- Experience with cloud migrations and network strategy.
- Ability to scale teams and foster a culture of technical excellence.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, including 4+ years in leadership.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency in Wi-Fi optimization, WAN/SD-WAN deployment, and QoS.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
