Job Summary:
We are seeking aManager of Professional Servicesto lead and actively contribute to ourNetSuite consulting team.In this role, you willdrive end-to-end NetSuite implementations and optimization projects, ensuring successful project delivery while managing and mentoring a team of consultants.
You’ll take ahands-on approach, working directly with customers to understand their business needs, developing tailored solutions, and oversee project execution. As a leader, you will providestrategic direction, resource management, and process improvementsto enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Professional Services team.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery
- Oversee initial project resourcing and the handoff of projects from sales to delivery
- Ensure alignment between clients and resources throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage all ongoing projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes, requisite documentation, adherence to budgets and scope, and on-time completion
- Provide hands-on project management, solution architecture, design, and discovery assistance to the Professional Services team
- Ensure project delivery methodology is consistently applied in all project work
Sales & Client Engagement
- Assist the sales team with project scoping, sales work, and the creation of detailed estimates and SOWs for Professional Services projects
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships with a focus on retention and sales growth
- Manage and resolve customer escalations related to Professional Services work in alignment with guiding principles and client relationship approach
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Professional Services team, fostering long-term retention and internal promotions
- Act as the direct manager for Professional Services team members, holding weekly one-on-ones, setting and monitoring goals, conducting annual reviews, and handling HR-related escalations in coordination with HR team
- Model and maintain high standards of communication, client management, customer service, and project execution
- Recruit, hire, and onboard high-quality functional consultants as team growth dictates
- Minimize the use of subcontractors while maximizing team utilization
Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Strategic Leadership
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, particularly between the Professional Services team and SquareWorks’ other delivery teams
- Participate in company decision-making as a key member of the management team, working closely with the Services General Manager
- Define, document, and execute the strategic goals of the Professional Services team
Operational & Financial Management
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the Professional Services team, including:
- Approving consultant timesheets and customer invoices
- Reviewing project budgets vs. actuals
- Calculating consultant and team utilization
- Report on project profitability
We ask that you:
- Be interested in building and managing, in a hands-on and participatory way, a top-notch Professional Services team
- Demonstrate a willingness to fully own and execute upon assigned work and strategic goals and objectives
- Be comfortable with various business development initiatives to grow the Professional Services business
- Show a willingness to participate in day-to-way consulting work in a hands-on way when necessary
- Have extensive experience with NetSuite and ERP systems
- Have an interest in and understanding of various project management methodologies
- Have a strong passion for managing and mentoring people, specifically consultants
- Be comfortable working remotely and managing a fully remote team
- Be able to handle competing priorities effectively and with limited guidance
- Be able to constructively manage stress and pressure
- Work with honesty and integrity
- Work well in a collaborative, interactive team environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years in the ERP space, preferably NetSuite
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing consulting teams
- Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and retaining top quality functional consultants
- Strong experience managing NetSuite ERP projects and implementations
- Experience with business development and growing Professional Services revenue
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and terminology
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Focus on autonomous thinking and a proactive approach to customer relationships
- Create high quality, clearly written documentation that explains work performed and solutions implemented
- Maintain a commitment to highly responsive communication with our customers and team members
- Interact with team members in such a way as to maintain a positive and collaborative atmosphere
