Key Responsibilities

    • In partnership with the COO, create and execute a comprehensive branding strategy for student recruitment, teacher recruitment, and community awareness.
    • Manage digital and print campaigns (social media ads, radio, billboards, flyers) to increase local brand recognition.
    • Oversee marketing budgets in collaboration with Student Recruitment and Talent teams.
    • Align all media content to brand guidelines and strategic goals.
  • Digital Media Management
    • Lead all regional social media accounts and develop a clear content calendar.
    • Oversee design and updates of the regional website.
    • Develop and implement email campaigns and newsletters for families, staff, and external stakeholders.
    • Monitor analytics and engagement data to inform strategy adjustments.
  • Internal & External Communications
    • Write press releases, op-eds, and feature stories that elevate KIPP Jacksonville’s voice in the community.
    • Support communication needs related to annual fundraisers and donor events in partnership with the Development team.
    • Serve as the central point of contact for all staff-facing and public-facing communications.
  • Design & Collateral Development
    • Design high-impact marketing materials, such as fact cards, event signage, and school-specific recruitment items.
    • Create branded regional swag (shirts, gifts, nameplates, email signatures).
    • Ensure consistent brand identity across presentations, social posts, and printed media.
    • Maintain and organize a photo archive and public relations clippings for use in future storytelling.
Qualifications
  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
    • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
    • Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms, email marketing tools, and CMS/web management.
    • Comfort with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint).
  • Highly Preferred
    • Experience in a nonprofit, charter school, or mission-driven organization.
    • Understanding of brand strategy and storytelling in educational or equity-focused settings.
    • Familiarity with photography, video editing, or content management systems.
