Job summary

SpineSearch LLC partners with a well-established health system in Queens, NY to recruit an experienced Manager of HIM Operations & Coding. The role leads HIM operations, hospital coding, ROI, and records integrity to support revenue cycle performance.

The ideal candidate has extensive HIM leadership experience, strong coding knowledge, and a track record of process improvement in a hospital setting. Collaboration with CDI, Revenue Integrity, and IT is essential for enterprise EMR transitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • CPC and CCS or CIC certification required.
  • RHIA or RHIT certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in hospital coding, HIM operations, or revenue cycle management.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and hospital reimbursement methodologies.

  • Oversee daily departmental operations, staffing, productivity, payroll, and performance management.

The Manager, HIM Operations & Coding will provide day-to-day leadership of Health Information Management (HIM) Operations and Hospital Coding services. This individual will oversee coding operations, chart completion, release of information, document imaging, record integrity, productivity, quality, vendor performance, and regulatory compliance while supporting organizational revenue cycle initiatives
