Description

Job Summary: The Manager of Healthcare EDI will supervise and coordinate the EDI Team, leading efforts for successful daily EDI file transmissions, internal reporting, and participating in projects with vendors and clients. The role aims to optimize EDI operations for efficiency and accuracy, collaborating across the organization, with clients, and vendors.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and execution of technical solutions to optimize EDI operations.
  • Lead a team of EDI experts in designing, documenting, and maintaining technical solutions for data needs.
  • Facilitate communication between business users and developers to translate needs into requirements.
  • Manage reporting and EDI workflow planning across the organization.
  • Lead EDI and reporting aspects of new client and vendor implementations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve reporting, data, and EDI issues.
  • Collaborate with Project Management on scope, timelines, and milestones for projects.
  • Set realistic timelines for changes, defect corrections, and enhancements.
  • Oversee the generation, transmission, and maintenance of inbound and outbound EDI data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes for service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on workflows and system enhancements.
  • Audit, QA, and UAT programming and configuration outputs, fixes, and improvements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards supporting the team and organization.
  • Maintain documentation related to configuration, workflows, and processes.
  • Implement internal audits of EDI processes and performance.
  • Establish performance measures for the EDI team and processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, informatics, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration with supervisory experience in informatics, reporting, or EDI technology.
  • Experience with healthcare EDI formats such as 837, 835, 999, and 834s.
  • Knowledge of health data security, regulatory requirements, and EDI document formats.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience writing SQL or PostgreSQL queries.
  • Experience with reporting tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Actuate.
  • Experience with Eldorado Javelina platform is a plus.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to adapt to changes.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
