Jericho Road Community Health Center in Buffalo, NY, seeks a Manager of Grant Development & Administration to lead grant strategy, budgeting, and compliance. The role is full-time with hybrid flexibility within the Finance Department at our Lombard location.

The position offers opportunities to manage complex portfolios, supervise staff, and collaborate with program teams to fund and sustain critical community health initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business, communications, public health, social services, or a related field.
  • Experience managing complex public and private grant portfolios.
  • Experience supervising staff and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Experience utilizing and managing online grant portals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research grant opportunities from government, foundation, corporate, and other institutional sources for alignment with organizational priorities
  • Coordinate grant pipeline planning and lead discussions on project readiness and funding strategy with leadership and program teams
  • Develop grant concepts, budgets, and implementation plans in partnership with Finance and program staff
  • Coordinate collaborative/joint funding partnerships and subcontracting arrangements
  • Serve as primary funder contact for proposal development and attend funder briefings/workshops
  • Oversee grant writing, reviewing, and editing to ensure timely, high-quality proposal submissions
  • Maintain proposal calendars, tracking systems, and required documentation for submissions
  • Oversee post-award grants management, compliance, and recordkeeping
  • Review award documents and contracts to ensure understanding of obligations
  • Coordinate with Finance on budgets, funding codes, expenditure tracking, and reimbursement requests
  • Support narrative development for budget modifications, amendments, and other post-award requirements
  • Participate in audits, monitoring visits, and compliance reviews
  • Maintain organizational registrations/certifications required for funding eligibility
  • Develop reporting calendars and coordinate data collection for funder reports (narrative, financial, performance)
  • Ensure timely, accurate submission of all grant deliverables and monitor reporting deadlines
  • Manage contract/subcontract development, execution, and recordkeeping
  • Serve as funder point of contact for reporting, compliance, and stewardship
  • Partner with program teams to support grant-funded implementation, provide guidance on requirements, and collect supporting documentation (outcomes, stories, data)
  • Support organizational planning/budgeting tied to grant-funded initiatives
  • Supervise grant development staff, providing coaching, training, and performance management
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, one-on-one supervision, and workflow oversight
  • Meet with program staff periodically to ensure the grant performance and compliance
  • Establish systems and best practices to strengthen accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement in grants management
  • Develop templates and procedures to build organizational grant capacity

Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Manager of Grant Development & Administration. This position is full-time, within the Finance Department, working at our 239 Lombard location with hybrid flexibility.

Rate:$68,000-$78,000 salaried. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
