The Manager of Deicing oversees all aspects of deicing operations to guarantee aircraft safety and adherence to regulatory requirements. This position involves coordinating and supervising deicing teams, managing the application of deicing fluids, and ensuring efficient and effective operations, particularly in adverse weather conditions. The manager is also tasked with training staff in deicing procedures, handling inventory of deicing materials, and maintaining equipment. Additionally, the role includes collaboration with airport authorities, airlines, and regulatory bodies to uphold safety standards and environmental regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the deicing operation, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Develop and implement deicing procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and safe operations
• Manage and coordinate the deicing team, including scheduling, training, and supervision
• Monitor weather conditions and develop deicing plans accordingly
• Coordinate with airport authorities, airlines, and ground crews for deicing operations
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of deicing equipment and vehicles
• Oversee the inventory and procurement of deicing fluids and supplies
• Implement and monitor environmental protection measures related to deicing activities

QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Expertise with FAA and customer airlines deicing requirements and procedures
• High business acumen to operate within budget and properly coordinate resources
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
• Professionalism and maintaining company goals and expectations
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
