Job summary

SoulCycle is seeking a data & analytics leader to own our BI strategy and act as a thought partner to executives across the organization. The role reports to the VP of Finance and is based at our NYC headquarters.

You will drive a multi-disciplinary BI program, from data pipelines to dashboard delivery, ensuring reliable, scalable analytics that inform strategic decisions and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of analytics, BI, or data engineering experience.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
• Required: SQL, Looker/LookML or similar BI tools, and data warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift).
• Preferred: Python (pandas, etc.), predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the BI function end-to-end: assess tooling and infra, set strategy/roadmap.
• Audit dashboards and data sources; improve pipeline reliability with Data Eng.
• Set standards, documentation, and governance for BI tools and data models.
• Design and build repeatable, self-service BI tools and dashboards.
• Build and document LookML data models to support cross-team analysis.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain models forecasting outcomes and customer behavior.

Job Description

As part of the Data & Analytics team, you’ll own our BI strategy and serve as a strategic and operational thought partner to the executive team and business owners throughout the organization.

This is a high-visibility mandate reporting directly to the VP of Finance, with the ability to shape how data and analytics operate across the company.

This role is based out of our Headquarters in NYC.

Responsibilities

• Own the BI function end-to-end: assess current tooling and infrastructure (including our Looker implementation), identify gaps, and set the strategy and roadmap for what the organization needs going forward.
• Audit existing dashboards and data sources to identify consolidation opportunities and resolve data discrepancies. Work with Data Engineering to improve pipeline reliability where it affects reporting accuracy. Work with Product and Engineering teams to ensure the data required to support business objectives is collected.
• Set standards, documentation, and governance for how BI tools and data models are built and maintained.

Visualizations & Dashboarding

• Design and build repeatable, self-service BI tools and dashboards.
• Build, optimize, and document LookML data models that support efficient, consistent analysis across the business.

Insights & Predictive Analytics

• Partner with cross-functional and senior stakeholders to translate business questions into analysis and clear recommendations.
• Develop and maintain models that forecast business outcomes, customer behavior, and other key metrics.
• Monitor key business metrics and proactively surface trends, performance gaps, and opportunities.

Request Management

• Build and run an intake process for recurring and ad-hoc business requests, prioritizing by impact and setting turnaround expectations with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering experience, including experience leading or contributing to a BI infrastructure assessment or rebuild.
• Ability to translate complex data and technical trade-offs into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
• Required: SQL, Looker/LookML or similar BI tools (Sigma, Tableau, etc.), and data warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
• Preferred: Python (pandas, matplotlib, etc.), predictive modeling, and statistical analysis

Pay Transparency: Min $140k - Max $160k
