This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager of Construction Projects in the United States.
This role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead multiple commercial construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the primary liaison between contractors, landlords, and internal stakeholders, coordinating schedules, budgets, and progress reporting. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve issues proactively while maintaining positive working relationships. Success in this role comes from balancing project oversight with strategic decision-making, supporting teams, and ensuring smooth handovers to facilities management. You will play a key part in driving operational excellence and achieving project milestones across a portfolio of construction initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate communication and documentation of all project activities with contractors, landlords, and internal teams
- Review project schedules to ensure timelines are accurate and updated, aligning work progress with delivery goals
- Monitor weekly progress reports, photos, and contractor submissions to ensure compliance with schedules and standards
- Conduct regular site visits to verify quality, design compliance, and adherence to project timelines
- Review proposed costs for project changes, validate accuracy, and account for budgets in coordination with senior leadership
- Facilitate regular project issue reviews and meetings with internal and external stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain project delivery
- Develop strong working relationships across project teams to ensure project requirements and turnover objectives are achieved
- Conduct punch-list walk-throughs and ensure completion of all items prior to project soft openings
- Oversee project close-out processes and ensure a timely, accurate transition of building responsibilities to facilities management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience managing multiple commercial construction projects
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within a construction department or organization
- Experience working with development or construction companies is highly desirable
- Previous construction management experience with retail chains or multi-unit operators
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships effectively
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to issue resolution and quality assurance
